素材：安全ピン
安全ピン＿折り曲げられた部分をさらに折り込む。
＿或は＿折り曲げられた部分をまっすぐにのばす。
安全ピンはそれ自体の先端を内側に折り込むことによって「安全」が形として実現している。
この作品で私は安全ピンの折り曲げられた部分をさらに折り曲げたりほどいたりしている。

定規 Ruler (1996-1999)
素材：直線定規、三角定規、雲形定規、分度器
定規は基準を共有することによって意味をなすが、『定規』の物質性／素材に準じた個体差を強調する。 加熱（オーブントースター）したことによって目盛りは素材とともに歪み、個々の基準を示す。

鉛筆 (1996-1999)
素材：鉛筆
行為：鉛筆の中央付近から両端に向かって削る。
文字、絵画、表現における簡素な道具として鉛筆を選び、鉛筆の長さの1/2の位置を鉛筆の先端と仮定し、両方向からその仮定された先端としての中心点 に向けて削る。 通常削られた二本の鉛筆が向かい合うような形を一本の鉛筆のみで表す。 行為の結果何が起るか： 鉛筆の芯の減少によって外在化する文字や描線、つまりそれら「表現」と鉛筆自体で外在も内在も分割されずに繋がっている発生以前の「全体」を示す。
